Spirometry is a special assessment to support diagnosis and help with management of breathing problems such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
Those working in dusty or in other hazardous environments may also benefit from regular checks.

Please telephone for advice as, due to Covid -19, the spirometry test may not be done at Katikati Medical Centre and a referral to a specialist centre will be advised. Those with COPD will be reviewed on a regular basis by the nurse and your GP.
